Sexually transmitted disease
HIV, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis are the most common sexually transmitted diseases in developing countries. These can be prevented by abstinence from sex with multiple partners or by using protection during intercourse. Hepatitis B is transmitted through blood or contaminated needles. An international traveler should not accept any blood transfusion unless the blood is tested and certified. Disposable needles are safe and best, therefore always insist on them.
