DAY 01 CHENNAI – TRICHY
BY TRAIN
In time transfer to the railway station to board train Pallavan Express for Trichy
Depart Chennai 1530 hrs
Arrive Trichy 2030 hrs
Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel Sangam. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02 - TRICHY - TANJORE VIA KUMBAKONAM & DARASURAM
BY SURFACE
Morning proceed for city tour of Trichy- later proceed to Tanjore ( 60 Kms )
After noon drive to Tanjore enroute visiting. Kumbakonam and Darasuram.
The four large temples-the Sarangapani the Kumbeswarar, the Nageswara and the Ramaswamy temples located and carvings. It is believed that a bath in the Mahamaham tank on the Maham day will cleanse one’s sins.4 Km west of Kumbakonam.
Set behind the village, the Airatesvara temple is a superb example of 12th century Chola architecture. It was built by Raja Raja II(1146-63) and is in a fine state of preservation.
On arrival check in at Hotel Sangam.
Over night at hotel.
